CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES 

We are currently looking for an Intern to join our Legal Department BNP Paribas Luxembourg – Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) (M/F). 

You’ll be working BNP Paribas, Luxembourg Branch – Securities Services. Securities services is part of BNP Paribas group’s Corporate and Institutional banking (CIB). The Securities Services business of BNP Paribas is one of Europe’s leading providers of custody services for securities. The Luxembourg Branch plays a major part in its operations, offering clients high value-added services extending from custody to securities lending, fund administration, performance measurement and ratings, and bond issuance services.

The mission of Legal is to manage and anticipate legal risks within the BNP Paribas Group.

In view of the above, the Legal team works closely with the business and with the BNP Paribas Legal Community to anticipate future legal needs and to be an enabler to the business whilst at the same time managing the legal risks.

As trainee you will assist the Legal Counsels in:

• Drafting and negotiating service agreements of the Bank acting as depositary bank and fund administrator
• Advising on negotiations and transactions with, among others, investment funds, asset managers and insurance companies
• Advising on transactions and transformations as well as on new products and services
• Conducting legal research
• Advising and training on legislative developments impacting the bank

ARE YOU OUR FUTURE LEGAL INTERN?

Professional experience and/or degree  

You hold a university degree in Law (Master 1 or 2). 

A strong academic record. 

Excellent communication and drafting skills in English and French, Proficiency in other languages would also be advantageous. 

You need to have an internship agreement from your university to do this internship. 

Behavioural skills  

You have a strong interest in investment funds.

You are open-minded, dynamic, flexible, capable of working in a team in an organized and independent manner and always open to new challenges.
