About the Team 

•    BNP Paribas Exane is the Cash Equities division of BNP Paribas Global Markets. Within this division, we're seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual to join our Index Analytics team as a Data Analyst/Researcher. The team is global with members in New York, Hong Kong & London and deals with Assets managers & hedge funds to understand index changes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining predictive models, conducting in-depth research, and analysing complex data to inform decision-making.

Key Role Responsibilities:

•    Design and maintain coded models to forecast and analyse market events.

•    Conduct independent research using various data sources to gather insights and inform decision-making.

•    Stay up to date on industry developments and maintain a database of relevant information.

•    Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to internal teams & external clients on various projects.

•    Collaborate with colleagues to identify trends and opportunities.

•    Effective communication skills to service clients

Profile and Skills to Success

•    Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, or Computer Science). 

•    Technical Skills: Proficiency in one or more of the following: RStudio, Python, SQL.

•    Data Handling: Experience handling and analysing large real-world datasets.

•    Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

•    Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.

•    Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
