Business Overview of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking – Debt Markets
Within BNP Paribas’ CIB division, Debt Markets gathers a group of 200+ professionals located in 6 countries across Europe, including Milan, London and Paris. Their responsibility is to originate, structure and execute a full range of products ranging from Investment Grade to Leveraged solutions, delivered through Loans, Bonds or Private Placements, and targeting Corporates and Private Equity clients across Europe.
Within Debt Markets, the Structuring & Execution Group (“SEG”) gathers Interns, Apprentices, Analysts, Associates and VPs supporting Directors and Managing Directors in the identification, structuring and executions of debt-related transactions, across the following spaces:
- Investment Grade: supporting large & midsize Corporates
- Leveraged Finance: supporting Leveraged Corporates and Private Equity firms
Debt Markets work in close co‐operation with various teams within the bank (Corporate & Sponsor Coverage, M&A, ECM, Industry Groups, Legal, Loan & Bond Syndicate, Ratings Advisory).

Missions
As a full member of the team, working closely with Analysts, Associates, VPs, Directors and Managing Directors and with the benefit of an intensive on‐the‐job technical and professional training, key operational responsibilities of the Intern include:
- Marketing activity: prepare client pitches (simulation of acquisitions, refinancing, LBO financing, IPO financing) covering a full‐fledged financing solution across the capital structure (bonds & loans / equity / convertibles and hybrids). Also provide market updates including selection of comparable transactions from both a credit and market perspective
- Financial Modeling: of acquisition financing and LBO transaction including rating adjustments
- Credit process: prepare credit memos covering financial analysis, financial modeling, sector and strategic analysis
- Drafting of Marketing Materials for deal execution (Information Memorandum, Lender Presentation, Presentation to Rating Agencies)
- Portfolio management of LBO companies
What we expect from you
Education:
Master’s Degree in Business or engineering schools / universitiesSkills:
good knowledge of modeling and financial analysis, sense of initiative, rigor, excellent team spirit and ability to work in a challenging environment Familiar with financial analysis and modeling- Languages: Fluent in Italian and English (orally and in writing)
- IT skills: Ms Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…), Bloomberg is a real plus
- Prior experience in investment banking is appreciated
Contract type and Remuneration
The offer will be a full time 6-months internship, and it’s dedicated to all students or recent graduates (twelve or less months after graduation).
The Company provide a monthly monetary contribution.
