The 26th "BNP Paribas Open de France", a major tournament on the international wheelchair tennis circuit, will take place from June 21-26 at the Grenouillère Stadium in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine (France). The competition is also an important event for players to qualify for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
For the tournament, BNP Paribas will be presenting its "Projet Handicap" programme to spectators on June 24th and 25th. The programme is aimed at promoting the recruitment of disabled employees, helping stabilize their employment, improving the resources and services available to these employees, and increasing awareness about disability within the bank. BNP Paribas will be talking about the its business lines and will be accepting applications.
The Group's support of wheelchair tennis represents a major part of its overall athletic sponsorship. Official Partner of the International Wheelchair Tennis circuit, BNP Paribas will soon be the title sponsor of the World Team Cup, the ITF's most renowned wheelchair tennis tournament, starting in 2012.
