The economic outlook for 2004 in the main regions of the world were the subject of the latest BNP Paribas conferences at la Maison Dorée.

Before several hundred client companies and partners of the group, Philippe d'Arvisenet, Head of BNP Paribas' economic research, presented his vision for the coming year. He expects steadier growth in 2004, chiefly due to the dynamism of the American economy. The Euro zone should see more moderate growth, Japan and Great Britain being halfway there. South-East Asia is benefiting from the soaring American economy, as well as good figures from China.

Facing these improving figures Baudouin Prot said : "we knew how to develop in a period of crisis, we will therefore be ready to accompany our client's projects around the whole world... without neglecting the management of costs and risks."
