Position Purpose
The Regulatory Reporting team is ramping up to about 20 members to address the ambitious project of standardizing the activity for APAC region. This long-term project involves the reporting of Balance Sheet, P&L, Capital, and a more recent and intense focus on liquidity, especially Basel III LCR requirement.
Our team captures reporting requirements from the users located all across APAC, comes up with efficient propositions, implements solution and follows up to guarantee user comfort on the long run.
To operate efficiently, the team is constituted of complementing profiles: business analysts understand the logic from the users and develop the reports, data managers are the reference for data sourcing, SMEs develop complex logic components and enhance the solution framework and project managers orchestrate the work and communication on the progress. Collective discussions on the design/strategy and agile approach to project ensure the best compromise between long term robustness and immediate usability of the solution.
The in-house (custom-developed by the team) platform, Flexel, is a highly flexible and user-friendly Regulatory Reporting Platform, supporting 700+ Finance and Operation’s regulatory reports across 9 countries. The wide spectrum of reports includes but not limited to - Balance Sheet, P&L, Large Exposure, Granular Data Repository, BASEL III reporting (e.g. LCR) and that makes up the massive user community.
Position Purpose
Responsibilities
Regional Regulatory Reporting Project :
• Gather complex business requirement and able to articulate in clear manner
• Perform in-depth data analysis to support the business case
• Prepare/Update design documentation and data dictionary
• Prepare system documentation (e.g. technical/ function spec, user guide)
• Develop and maintain data model on the regional reporting platform
• Develop report on the regional reporting platform
• Perform/support system testing (e.g. SIT & UAT)
• Prepare change release documents
Data & System Platform:
• To perform data analysis, data modelling & process automation
• Assess system performance and implement software, hardware, and data storage improvements.
· Manage change management process and releases deployment, align to Group standard and policy
· Coordinate and handle various platform tasks, eg. DR Drill, patching, security assessment
Regional L3 Production Support :
· Provide L2 and L3 production support to APAC regional regulatory reporting applications
· Review regularly daily and monthly incidents with L1 production support team, and implement short term and long term solutions
· Conduct knowledge transfer to L1 / L2 production prod support
· Identify the root cause of the incident by applying sound error tracing technics
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Essential Knowledge/Skills :
· Relevant experience using Python, SQL, VBA
· Good to have exposure in Java backend development.
· Knows how to create maintainable and readable code.
· Good to have understanding on various technologies (e.g. Window/Unix command, Excel, Macro, AutoSys, SFTP, CFT, Keys and Certificates, Service Now, SharePoint)
