About the Job
- The Cash Equities Platform Business Analyst role is to help in managing and streamlining the process around vendor management, in particular third party vendors related to FIX connectivity, and in providing business support on platform related topics (e.g. commission management, client questionnaires, some FO / sales controls)
- The job requires close collaboration with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Client Solutions, Cash Equities COO and Business Managers, Cash Equities Analytics, IT, Operations, Compliance, Cash Equities Business. The role may require some interactions with external vendors as well when required
Your Main Activities
- Main responsibilities for FIX Vendor management:
- Perform first-level invoice review: act as a resolution officer for first-level review of invoices in the invoice systems, ensuring accuracy before management approval
- Maintain Client Inventory by Vendor: Accurately track and maintain the existing excel client inventory specific to each vendor, ensuring records are up to date and accessible
- Perform reconciliation between vendors invoice and vendors’ internal forecast: Run reconciliation monthly reconciliation between vendors’ invoice and internal forecast, identify and analyse gaps, and provide constructive input on identified gaps between invoice and forecast to data analytic team to enhance forecast models and have a better forecast for the next invoices
- Report Real FIX Connectivity Costs per vendor per client: Input accurate connectivity costs into reports that support the client strategy team in evaluating client profitability to support decision-making process on client retention
- Prepare needed support documents for Strategic Review Meetings: Provide input on client profitability for discussions led by the client strategy team to support the decision-making process around client retention
- Liaise with Internal Teams to identify and implement solution on identified issues: Coordinate with the COO team, onboarding, and product teams to resolve identified issues and streamline processes, while providing feedback on operational improvements
- Main Responsibilities for platform business support:
- Assist Commission Management Business expert with the management of Commission Sharing Agreements contracts, setup and invoice management.
- Implement new FO / Sales controls related to KYC flags, Cross border activities etc.
- Monitor these new controls & produce detailed KPIs
- Escalate any identified breaches to coverage / head of desks or cash equities management as required
- Assist sales with various tasks e.g. Client Questionnaires / RFQ, marketing materials
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s or a Masters degree preferably in Finance
- At least years experience in financial industry
- Fluency in English (mandatory);
- Knowledgeable in Financial Markets, Finance and Equity,
- Expert excel skills for data analysis, cost reporting, KPIs production
About the Team THE TEAM
- BNP Paribas Exane is the Cash Equities division of BNP Paribas Global Markets. This division is made of 2 main business lines: 1) Research, and 2) Sales & Execution. It was recently created after the transfer of DB Global Prime Finance & Electronic Equities activities to BNP Paribas in 2021 and the acquisition of the Exane Group in 2023. Cash Equities is establishing a new team in Lisbon in 2025, with the ambition to offer a range of various Front Office and Support roles within Research, Sales & Execution. The Cash Equities Platform Business Analyst role will be part of the Sales & Execution Platform team
