As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst at Arval you will be a pivotal member of our Regional Risk team covering 6 countries, responsible for evaluating credit exposure, being an ambassador for robust risk management frameworks, and influencing strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize our credit portfolio, drive organizational excellence, and uphold Arval’s reputation for reliability and resilience. 

The Regional Credit Risk team is embedded in the global BNPP Risk community with very close collaboration with our partners at the Arval Head Quarter and therefore provides excellent opportunities to network and collaborate across countries and cultures within the Central European region and beyond.

Depending on expertise your focus may be Corporate or Retail Credit Risk. 

Responsibilities & tasks:

  • Corporate Credit Assessment 
    • Perform in-depth credit analysis on prospective and existing clients, leveraging financial statements, credit scoring models, and industry research.
    • Leverage credit risk policies, procedures, and models in alignment with Arval’s global guidelines and local regulations.
  • Retail Credit Assessment 
    • Establish credit risk policies, procedures, and models in alignment with Arval’s global guidelines and local regulations.
    • Monitor the Retail portfolio and provide action proposals for portfolio optimization balancing risk aspects with growth ambitions 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with Arval Credit Competence Centre, Sales and Corporate Credit Risk  to develop tailored credit solutions that meet client needs while safeguarding risk exposure.
    • Provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to Risk management.
  • Strategic Guidance & Continuous Improvement
    • Actively participate in cross-functional and international projects to enhance risk management practices.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices, economic indicators, and emerging technologies relevant to credit risk assessment.

Must Have

  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis (Corporate or Retail), preferably in banking, leasing, or financial services.
  • Proven track record in conducting complex financial statement analysis, creating/refining credit risk models, and interpreting financial data.
  • Effective written and verbal fluency in  English min C1 is essential (written and spoken).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-functional, multinational teams, adapting communication styles for different audiences and cultural contexts.
  • Results oriented and able to accomplish objectives in a specified timeframe

Desired
 

  • Background in leasing or automotive fleet        management.
  • Proven ability to translate complex findings into clear insights.
