(Senior) Investment Compliance Specialist
Investment Compliance is part of Depositary and Fiduciary domain of BNP Paribas. DFS department was appointed for fund’s asset protection: cash monitoring, safekeeping and overseeing the fund’s affairs to ensure that it complies with obligations outlined in relevant laws and fund’s constitutional documents. Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant financial knowledge and capability to use it in practice; with focus on investment compliance and securities market
- University degree or relevant professional experience (preferably within financial industry);
- Dedication and engagement;
- Analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and detail orientation;
- Organizational skills;
- Ability to work with deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
- Working command of English (min B2);
Responsibilities:
- Administer overall aspects of depositary matters e.g. the preparation of asset confirmation, reconciliation, ongoing monitoring and oversight of the Fund and Fund Manager - ensuring controls and procedures adequate and are being adhered to, ensuring the fund is being managed in accordance with the fund documentation;
- Perform day-to-day operations linked to the requirements as stipulated in AIFMD and UCITS V Directives;
- Perform relevant controls using dedicated IT tools or others specified sources and checklists;
- Analyze and document specified inconsistencies. Identify and qualify any breaches including their origin based on the relevant internal procedures;
- Guarantee the escalation of issues to direct manager;
- Contribute to the completion and maintenance of operational procedures, user guides and manuals;
- Train new members of the team;
- Provide support to other team members and check work performed by others;
- Maintain professional communication with service partners, incl. active participation in service calls, replying to queries and ad-hoc requests.
