Position Purpose
The candidate will be responsible as a techno functional resource of team for creating and executing the functional as well as regression testing suite for ETL Testing. The candidate must have good hands-on experience in writing the complex SQL/PLSQL Queries. The candidate must have good analytical skills and should be self-motivated, proactive and a good team player. The candidate should have experience in working effectively in fast-paced environments. Candidate is also expected to coordinate with onshore/offshore teams.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Understanding the ETL Requirements, Mapping documents and Transformations logics
- Writing strong complex SQL and PLSQL’s – the ability to write joins and handling multiple tables.
- Good Automation Knowledge in Python/JAVA & Pyspark
- Creating SQL Scripts based on ETL mapping documents to compare outputs.
- Extensive knowledge in Data warehousing concepts (e.g., FCT, DIM tables and SCD’s) and ETL tools (e.g. Informatica Power Center)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as ability to work within a team.
- Identify and prepare test data for test execution.
- Documenting all defects/issues and re-testing the defects post resolution.
- Ensuring all applicable testing processes are followed.
- Co-ordinating/executing testing across multiple testing phases (SIT, regression)
- Participate in daily calls and work closely with test lead, Business analysts and developers.
- Create test cases and test data as per requirements. Analyze test cases thoroughly to ensure adequate coverage of requirements.
- Execute test cases, analyze test results and accordingly log defects, track and re-test defects.
- Closely work with Dev teams/BA to resolve issues and, also to develop a good understanding of the project and testing objectives.
- Must have good analytical skills.
- Extensive experience in Database/ETL data validations (DQ Rules and transformations)
- Strong knowledge in STLC and experience with different types of testing, including experience with rigorous test case creation, maintenance and execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams
- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
- Hands on experience on JIRA and Quality Centre / ALM
- Strong technical knowledge in SQL and Data warehouse (DWH) concepts/process
- Knowledge in Automation Testing (Python/Selenium) would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in Finance (regulatory reporting) domain experience or any certifications in Finance would be a plus
- Perform other testing-related duties as required

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Technical Skills
o Good knowledge of SDLC in general and QA cycle in specific, and experience in various types of testing (functional and regression) activities
o Expertise in SQL and PLSQL for writing the complex SQL’s and Unix.
o Expertise knowledge in Cloud base ETL\Data ware Housing and HIVE, HBase and Pyspark would be preferred.
o Knowledge in test automation testing in selenium/python would an added advantage
o Expertise in test management using ALM (Quality Center), JIRA tools.
o Good to have knowledge in NIFI, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes
