Senior Relationship Manager - Director (all genders) in Growth Capital & Solutions – Fintech & Insurtech Sector
BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is engaged with a broad client base ranging from Large Multinational and Mid-sized Corporates, institutional investors as well as financial services providers (Institutionals). The division is, among others, a leading provider of investment banking, dept capital markets and sustainable financing services.
This role sits with the Growth Capital & Solutions (GC&S) team, a transversal team in CIB encompassing experts across coverage, strategic advisory (incl. Equity Private Placement), non-dilutive financing and VC coverage. The GC&S team focuses on three key sectors: Fintech & Insurtech, NextGen Tech, and Low Carbon Transition Accelerators.

Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you
- Originating deals that support Fintechs & Insurtechs (incl. PSPs, neobanks and neobrokers) and more broadly technology/software companies in their growth ambitions in the DACH region with a particular focus on Germany
- Developing innovative solutions by matching with and adapting the banks products to client needs
- Originating amongst others advisory (M&A, Private Placement, IPO) mandates, balance sheet transformation related deals (asset ramp-up (AM), warehousing/ABS (SPG)) alongside operational transactions (CM/CIB2S)
- Full P&L responsibility for clients covered
- Expanding and co-developing the go to market strategy for Fintech & Insurtech in DACH with a focus on Germany to ensure all opportunities are captured
- Taking responsibility for all operational and day-to-day client requirements
- Acting as the relationship manager and primary point of contact for any client needs
- Being responsible for the execution of originated transactions
- Ensuring the active monitoring and reporting of risks on clients within their remit
Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer
- Degree/s in economics, finance, management, computer science, engineering, math or any of the sciences
- Deep expertise as Fintech & Insurtech Banker
- A strong understanding of the Fintech & Insurtech sector as well as the broader Tech and Software space
- Knowledge of the complete CIB product suite incl. those for financial institutions as well as corporates
- Ability to apply the full range of products and solutions incl. fund raising, securitization, cash management etc. to solve challenges fintechs face
- Strong understanding of the current and future regulatory framework the clients operate under
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and provide specialist guidance and advice to others
- Client focused and result-driven working style
- Strong communication skills and full professional fluency in German and English
