Product Manager Asset Servicing

About the job

  • The role sits within our central asset servicing product team, responsible for corporate actions, income, tax, general meetings, class actions and position keeping products across our domestic/direct custody (LC) and global custody (GC) services
  • The purpose of the role is to develop Securities Services’ asset servicing solutions for both our domestic and global custody offer, with a focus on corporate events and tax
  • This will entail: foster harmonization of our services across local and global custody products and across locations/booking centres, working closely with the process owner; analyse and implement tax changes, both market and client driven, in an effective and efficient way to ensure we create value for clients, whilst avoiding risk for the bank; drive new product implementation initiatives (executed by IT and Operations) to increase our value to clients, innovation, competitive advantage and efficiencies, in collaboration with the process owner team and IT; develop and maintain product collateral (e.g. standard product description, standard scope of services documents, contracts and SLAs); build a product development road-map; develop a pricing strategy for asset servicing

Your Main Activities Are

  • Design asset servicing solutions for our domestic and global custody offer
  • Harmonize asset servicing offering across local and global custody products and across locations
  • Proactively identifying product development opportunities for asset servicing, building business cases and sponsoring implementation
  • Developing and maintaining product collateral
  • Maintaining the product road map, planning and agreeing developments with IT suppliers and operations
  • Industry watch, sourcing, compiling and interpreting information on pertinent developments within industry bodies and services (the regulators, market depositories and clearers, central banks, consultants)
  • Training and support sales, relationship management and client service teams on all asset servicing initiatives
  • Direct involvement in certain aspects of the sales process, including clients’ pitch, DDV, and others
  • Use asset servicing initiative to improve our profitability
  • Review and improve pricing structure for asset servicing to ensure value added services are priced correctly
  • Setting pricing guidelines for asset servicing

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting
  • At least 5 years of experience within the securities services industry
  • Direct experience of asset servicing topics (corporate actions, income or tax)
  • Professional experience in Management roles
  • Experience with clients’ interaction in a senior role 
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Commendable presentation skills such as the ability to be confident, assertive and coherent to key stakeholders and clients
  • Adaptability and capacity to work with multiple business functions where workloads will be prioritised towards client requirements and business needs
  • Methodical approach
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to summarise documentations to clients
  • Capable of working and prioritising different subjects at the same time
  • Able to work in a virtual environment within a global team
