Responsibilities
* PRODUCT MANAGEMENT/PRODUCT CONTROL/PRODUCT INNOVATION
o Anticipate and address the market's needs in Greater China on an ongoing basis to create market-leading product solutions for our target market segments.
o Define the product strategy and roadmap for Securities Services in Greater China to achieve and maintain BNPP's competitive advantage and to meet agreed financial targets.
o Enhance the value proposition of Securities Services at BNPP by developing new solutions to support new client needs, regulatory development, or strategic initiatives.
o Design and maintain effective business model to align with client needs, maintain clear product standards and ensure product control guidance.
o Leading the effective launch of new products in Greater China, deliver Product Level Description (PLD) with prioritized features, corresponding justifications, core positioning and messaging for the product launch.
o Support the Client Line, Business & Strategy team in defining the overall Greater China strategy.
2. MARKET & REGULATORY WATCH/THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
o Develop meaningful relationships with relevant local market infrastructures and regulators.
o Lead the Market Advocacy efforts locally on behalf of BNPP and our clients.
o Build the local business profile by ensuring inclusion in market working groups, participation in industry forums via speaking engagements, etc.
o Establish thought leadership to promote local market awareness & understanding of BNPP's Securities Services / Partner capabilities.
o Monitor Regulatory developments and assess their impact on our service offering and products in Greater China.
o Conduct competitor analysis and undertake market regulatory watches and translate these insights into recommendations for Greater China.
o Update stakeholders on latest product and market developments.
3. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
o Assist with the identification of key targets and facilitate the sales process by providing prospects and clients with insights on product capabilities and business operating model for Greater China.
o Actively engage with clients along with Client Development team (RM/Sales) to identify new opportunities or address their requirements / pain points.
o Undertake knowledge sharing sessions to train and support the sales and relationship management teams on Greater China.
o Work with the relevant stakeholders to facilitate, where required, the alignment of products / pricing / legals, with local market practices.
o Assist with preparation of materials for client presentations and documentation.
4. Product P&L and RISK MANAGEMENT
o Contribute to the identification of risk issues (Regulatory, operational, clients) and propose appropriate actions.
o Analyze product profitability and, where required, propose actions to regional product head and/or to Client Lines heads.
o Drive and increase the profitability of the assigned products portfolio through lifecycle management:
Support Client Delivery's operational efficiency and to drive down cost of operation.
Ensure appropriate profitability modeling is in place and assist in the design and development of financial models where required.
Analyze, price, and approve new business opportunities.
Work closely with RM/Sales to establish sales pipeline and revenues projections, and track deal performance against sales plan/pipeline.
o Collaborate with Ops to manage Product unit costs & enable BNPP to compete with peers on pricing.
5. PERMANENT CONTROL ASPECTS
o Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
o Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan.
o Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
o Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System.
o Ensure audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline.
o Endeavor to ensure the quality of the Bank's portfolio remains sound and healthy.
