BE PART OF OUR DYNAMIC RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM
The Risk Management Team ensures a 360º degree approach to managing the risks affecting Cardif Services, in line with the Group/Corporate framework and policies.
Our Team works every day to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks. To achieve it, our risk management framework ensures a level of expertise aligned with the different types of risk. This framework includes the domains of:
- Operational Risk and Permanent Control;
- Data Protection;
- Information Security;
- Business Continuity & Crisis Management;
- People & Premises Security;
- Governance;
- Compliance,
- Legal;
- Third Parties Risk Management.
The Risk Management Team is profoundly committed to the strengthening of a risk culture, essential to managing risk and building resilience. The deployment of awareness, communication, exercise and training initiatives touching all levels of the organization contribute to leverage the exposure of Cardif Services to the evolving and compounding risk landscape. Furthermore, we provide an active risk opinion to other functions within Cardif Services, enabling decision-making and processes to be risk informed.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM
The Internal Control Officer assists the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Operational Risk & Permanent Control frameworks. She/he is in charge for the following responsibilities.
Transversal activities
- Develop the existing reporting framework (quantitative metrics and KPIs to measure and communicate on risk management) and contribute to the organizational committees related to its perimeter of intervention.
- Ensure the development and implementation of an adequate training and awareness plan for the local staff;
Specific to Operational Risk & Permanent Control
- Assumes the role of Operational Permanent Controller, according to the main responsibilities identified in the relevant internal policies and procedures;
- Transpose locally the Group requirements in the Permanent Control framework and Operational Risk Management, notably by the identification of key processes, contribution to their formalization, implementation, control and follow-up;
- Identify and assess risks and controls (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) by ensuring that key operational units and processes, material risks and risk mitigants are identified.
- Perform/drive the risk identification and assessment in liaison with Cardif Support HO control Functions when needed, ensuring validation by the relevant management level and consistency with the defined risk tolerance. Contribute to the definition and follow-up of remediation plan if needed;
- Manage Operational Risk Incidents, including detecting, recording, analyzing, follow-up, support the definition and monitor the implementation of the necessary action plan;
- Follow-up the performance of generic BNP Paribas Cardif controls and associated action plans;
- Implement local controls when needed, based on the risk analysis of local processes and follow-up the necessary action plans;
- Follow-up of recommendations coming from Inspection Générale, External Audit, Regulators;
- Provide Management support and governance by active contribution (or organization) to any committee on Operational risks and Permanent Control committees.
- Alert and escalate to the relevant level of management any operational risk incident and/or any recurring weakness. Perform periodic and ad-hoc reporting to the appropriate level of management as well as to independent control functions.
- Ensure an appropriate training on Operational risks and Permanent Control framework is provided to employees, notably newcomers.
- Show ability to take ownership of specific OPC activity streams/topics, and be able to deliver the full and exhaustive actions taken on the assigned process(es) to the management
AS OUR NEW INTERNAL CONTROL OFFICER, YOU MUST HAVE:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Audit or in any other related fields
- Previous working experience, ideally in a position related to Internal Control and Risk Management;
- Fluency in English and French (intermediate level minimum) – Portuguese is appreciated;
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience;
- Very good analytical and organization skills, attention to detail;
- Respect the procedures, methodologies and directives;
- High sense of confidentiality;
- Very good written and oral communication skills;
- Good listening and questioning ability, good learning skills;
- Ability to plan work ahead and to prioritize workload;
- Ability and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment;
- Curious and willing to work on different tasks;
- High adaptability & flexibility.
