To support its current growth, BNP Paribas Securities Services is looking for:
An Intern in Fund Accounting for our Fund Administration department.

The Fund Administration has always been and will remain a key pillar of the Fund industry, fully integrated with multiple counterparties (inside and outside the bank): Transfer Agent, Depot bank, Custodian, Management Companies, Brokers, and Auditors…
WHAT’S YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MISSION?
Your missions will be organized around three key pillars:
1. NAV Production & Financial Accounting:
- Assisting in the daily calculation and validation of the Net Asset Value (NAV) for various types of funds (UCITS, SICAV, FCP, etc.).
- Performing reconciliations between bank statements, custodian records, and internal accounting systems (Cash, Positions, and Dividends).
- Monitoring and processing corporate actions (dividends, stock splits, mergers) and their impact on the fund's valuation.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the fund's trial balance and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
2. Data Integrity & Control:
- Conducting daily checks on pricing and market data to ensure valuation accuracy.
- Identifying and investigating accounting discrepancies or breaks in reconciliations.
- Supporting the implementation of automated tools and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the NAV production cycle.
- Assisting in the preparation of audit files and responding to queries from auditors or regulators.
3. Operational Support & Reporting:
- Assisting in the production of periodic reports (monthly/quarterly) for clients and management.
- Supporting the team in troubleshooting operational issues and escalating structural risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Participating in transversal projects aimed at optimizing accounting workflows and digital transformation.

Your working environment:
You will be working in a dynamic and challenging environment with a team of professionals in the Fund Administration Department.
Job location: Luxembourg
Description of the team the employee will be joining: You will be part of the Fund Accounting team, working directly on the production and oversight of fund valuations within the FA Department.
Interactions outside the team: You will interact with other Business/Functions, including Custodians, Depositaries, Brokers, Auditors, and the IOC (International Operations Center).
Position eligible for teleworking and remote site: No, this position is based full-time in our Luxembourg office to foster teamwork and rapid learning.
Training plan: A comprehensive training plan will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Professional experience and/or degree:
Desired Experience/Degree: Minimum BAC +3/4/5 in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel is mandatory: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, VBA, etc.).
Language skills:
You should be fluent in French and English (both oral and written).
