Within CIB CCCO ITO, you will manage Cybersecurity teams in Portugal. The increase in cyber threats elevates the security risk within the financial sector, leading BNP Paribas to strengthen its Cybersecurity maturity.
The Head of Portugal CoE CISO Office is responsible for overseeing a team of 35-40 staff, including 3-4 direct reports, focusing on various aspects of cybersecurity to protect BNP Paribas activities. The role involves managing high-profile cybersecurity programs, governing EMEA territories, and promoting awareness and cyberculture within the organization.
Role and Responsibilities
Program Management
- Develop and oversee strategic planning and execution of high-profile cybersecurity programs.
- Engage with key stakeholders to align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish KPIs and monitor program progress to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with program implementation.
Governance
- Define and implement cybersecurity governance within EMEA territories.
- Prepare and oversee global cybersecurity committees.
- Develop the Portugal platform, optimize sourcing in Portugal, and ensure retention.
- Foster partnerships with other security teams, CIB CISOs, and regional teams.
- Foster innovation within the team.
Reporting Structure
- Reports hierarchically to the head of Portugal IT Risk & Cybersecurity platform.
- Reports functionally to the CIB Head of CISO Office (in France).
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant experience (15y+) in IT Risk, Cybersecurity, and/or IT audit
- Proven experience in cybersecurity management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Experience with awareness campaigns and fostering a strong cyberculture.
- Innovative mindset with a keen interest in leveraging emerging technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) and a degree in a related field.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Portuguese, French, or other European languages would be an asset.
