Global Markets Banking Book and Booking Model Senior Controller

  • Contribute to implement and maintain a strong control environment: At the level of Finance; In all regions / entities under, in order to guarantee the high quality of the financial data reported to the Head Office and to local Authorities

Your Main Activities Are

  • Global Markets Booking Model Monitoring governance and control: Contribute to the worldwide Global Markets Booking Model framework processes; Maintain and improve the Booking Model governance to review and approve any deviation to the standard Booking Model of the Group (GABA – Generally Accepted Booking Arrangements) ahead of trading of new transaction/launching of new activity leveraging on the TAC/NAC process and through a review of the TAC/NAC booking arrangements and requesting dedicated TAC/NAC; Maintain and improve the control framework to monitor ex-post the variation of the booking model (size, activity level, complexity, and specific setup); Maintain and improve Management Indicators reflecting the overview of the various constraints of the Booking Model; Contribute to MIs dashboards presentations and lead Booking Model Oversight Committees, answer to Regulatory requests / deep dives on Booking Model.
  • Banking Book Equities: Maintenance and deployment oversight of the Charter of Valuation on non-listed equities on Banking Book; Ensure compliance of equity valuations with Group valuation guidelines; Coordinate with different stakeholders on the Non-Listed Equities in Banking Book, taking part into a formal governance (EBB VMC, follow-up meetings with data providers, Métiers, 2LoD regional Finance teams); Organization of central 2LoD quarterly testing campaign and issuance of a quarterly synthetic control memo

Profile and Skills to Success

  • At least 3 years of experience in control, finance or audit 
  • Control background and ability to question and challenge the information received
  • Ability to manage priorities in a context of tight deadlines
  • Accounting expertise
  • Concise communication skills both spoken and written
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • Team work
  • Flexible in daily workload
  • Curious by nature, careful to detail, rigorous, reliable, open-minded, well-organized, efficient, methodical and spot-on
  • Weekend working and long days during closing period are compensated according to the Bank policy

About the Team

  • The main missions of the Finance & Strategy function (F&S) are the following, for the BNP Paribas Group: elaborate financial and sustainability information; provide Executive Management with the necessary information for the Group’s financial steering; define accounting, performance management and selected prudential policies for the Group; define, deploy and supervise the permanent control framework associated with financial information across the Group; manage the Group’s tax; manage the Group’s financial communication; drive the Target Operating Model implementation, contribute to the definition of the functional architecture and the design of Finance systems and proceed to their deployment; lead/steer the F&S function’s continuous transformation; assist Executive Management in defining the Group’s strategy
  • F&S count +1800 employees specialized in Accounting, Reporting, Performance Steering, Tax, Control, Regulatory and Project to mention few of them.  F&S is organized around 3 mutualized regional platform (America, Europe and Asia/Pacific), 1 Shared Finance Service center located in India, Central F&S teams located in Paris and decentralized Finance, Tax and Development departments located in each BNPP country presence
  • The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is the Regional EMEA Mutualized platform and Group platform delivering services that cover the whole financial dimensions: Accounting production activities, reporting, control, transformation projects, IT and GDO. Our platform serves EMEA Countries and CFO´s, Group Head Office and also worldwide entities when it refers to projects (Transformations & IT). The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is located in a dual location Madrid and Lisbon
