Within the department “Chief Operating Office – One Finance Model Implementation” of Finance function, in charge of the implementation of an harmonized Finance Operating Model across the BNPP Group, the “Finance Implementation Projects Engineering” (FIP Engineering) unit is a part of the “Finance Implementation Projects” (FIP) unit.

In a close and strong collaboration with FIP unit, FIP Engineering unit operates in order to:

  • ensure the projects of the roll-out of the One Financial System (OFS), in line with the global strategy of the Finance function

  • design, develop and implement the financial interfaces between the operating systems of Businesses and the Finance systems

  • ensure the implementation of the remediation plans applicable to financial interfaces

Therefore, FIP Engineering unit handles the technical solutions of financial interfaces, that feed the main reporting streams (financial, management accounting, liquidity and credit risk).

FIP Engineering unit operates for the entire BNPP Group, especially BDDF, BNL, BPLS, BPSS, CIB, FORTIS, IRB, PF, PI.

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

Contributing on project management

  • Work in cooperation with the FIP project manager in all phases of projects, especially concerning the integration of technical aspects of Finance systems linked to the step of accounting interpretation of financial events. This collaboration is usual on a daily basis

  • Respect the methodology of project management shared by FIP and FIP Engineering units

  • Contribute to costing study of projects

  • Respect the projects milestones and the related budget

  • Contribute to the definition of a workaround solution with the project team face to any issue impacting the critical path of the project and its budget

  • Produce regular project status to share with FIP project manager and FIP Engineering team leader and manager

  • Participate to project committees by sharing actions/decisions status under FIP Engineering responsibility, taking or coordinating actions linked to FIP Engineering perimeter  

Performing pre study, technical design and implementation of projects

  • Define the macro impacts among the technical architecture and the parametrization of accounting interfaces on the basis of the first global need expressed by FIP project manger in context of a pre study

  • Propose a technical architecture based on the functional information considering the interpreters’ systems standards principles

  • Co-elaborate all necessary flows entering the interpreter’s system namely regarding the technical validation of the data needed

  • Document the technical specifications of the technical solution to be set up in the interpreter’s system mainly based on AIS/RDJ software from Axway

  • Set up/parametrize the technical solution adopted in the different tools

  • Contribute to the testing strategy to ensure the quality of the implementation of the project

  • Define the testing scope related to the tests under direct responsibility of FIP Engineering

  • Execute all test cases following the defined methodology and validate final testing results performing all necessary adjustments

  • Define the technical deployment plan and perform all actions or coordination to ensure a successful deployment in production environment

  • Control and assume responsibility of the good results in production environment including after care (eventual changes and adjustments)

Ensuring support and maintenance activity on a scope of accounting interfaces

  • Manage the related requests in project mode according to the priority defined by FIP and FIPE team leaders

PROFILE

  • Professional experience in relevant area

  • Experience in project management

  • Knowledge of general accounting and/or banking accounting is a plus

  • Knowledge of financial Information Systems is a plus

  • Knowledge of Axway software “Accounting Integration Suite” (AIS/RDJ) is a plus

  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 Level)

  • Knowledge of French is a plus

  • Strong ability to deliver/Results driven

  • Attention to detail/rigor

  • Adaptability

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (oral & written)
