Deputy Head of Solutions (Global) and Local Head of CMLS

About the job

  • CMLS has decided to build a centre of expertise in Cash Management in Portugal. To this end, we are hiring a Deputy head of Solutions (future head of Solutions), whose main responsibility is to develop "Best in Class" product franchise of BNP Paribas Security Services in the Cash Management and Liquidity space under a risk-controlled environment
  • The below responsibilities will be granted gradually alongside the hiring of staff locally
  • Scope of products notably includes: 
    1. My Treasury, Client cash Forecast and Intraday Liquidity  
    2. Payments  
    3. Cash Pool (Physical, Notional) 
    4. Cash Re-investment solutions 
    5. Currency offer 
    6. CLS 
    7. Cash reporting 
    8. 3rd party Term deposits 
    9. And Their representations on Client interfaces (API, Neolink,…)

Your Main Activities Are

  • Ensure product development  
    1. Produce business needs supported with sound business case 
    2. Follow-up with Change management and IT and ensure end to end processes are in place 
    3. Is responsible that the product is compliant with 2S rules through a NAC 
    4. Monitor the budget related to the scope of products 
    5. Control quality of deliveries 
    6. Periodic review with the various stakeholders 
    7. Gather feedback and enrich the product plan accordingly 
    8. Maintain intelligence on competition ‘s offer  
    9. Establish the standard pricing of the product together with business development and representatives of regions 
    10. Ensure adherence to Conduct and Risk management principles 
    11. Follow change of regulations and assess their impact on existing products
  • Drive Innovation initiatives
    1. Foster and Lead digital initiatives within CMLS 
    2. Leverage on broader Group initiatives (CMCC, Corporate cash management) to bring quickly new products to 2S clients 
    3. Leverage on new technologies (IA, blockchain, …) to improve our solutions
  • Insert the product in 2S offering
    1. Produce the product memo 
    2. Contribute to the production of marketing collateral (Pitch book, leaflets, …)
    3. Contribute to the communication to the sales force  
    4. Contribute to the communication towards clients 
    5. Coordinate with ops the set-up of: onboarding, operational and billing processes
  •   Contribute to post-sales support
    1. Maintain implementation plan with Lisbon BI team, and ensure its correct execution 
    2. Issue Client Updates 
    3. Monitor income per product vs targets
    4. Ensure that quality of service is at the expected level  
  • Contribute to transformation projects
    1. And take lead for its scope of products 
  • People
    1. Build a winning Solution team in Lisbon, leveraging on current staff 
    2. Attract, retain, and develop talent to ensure strong ongoing performance and succession planning
    3. Manage CMLS-liquidity staff in the location in coordination with Global head of liquidity

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting 
  • More than 7 years of relevant experience in Banking and Financial Operations
  • Fluent (C1-C2) level of English
  • Ability to antecipate business / strategic evolution 
  • Ability to develop others and improve their skills
  • Creativity, innovation and problem solving skills 
  • Client focused
  • Transversal Financial Markets knowledge
  • Market and Financing Services knowledge
