About the job
- The Business Intelligence Data Scientist’s main mission is to support the industrialization of the Global Banking Transactional Profile project, collaborating with CIB Analytics and CIB IT regional teams to explore the transactional systems and draw insights to better understand the behavior of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) customers. The Data Scientist plays a key role in leveraging data to create value and drive growth for the business
Your Main Activities Are
- Automate Transactional Banking (TB) business dashboards as prototypes and prepare them to be put in production, working closely with the team’s data analysts
- Collect, clean, and analyze large data sets from various transactional sources to identify trends, patterns and insights
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data quality checks and validation processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions
- Conduct prescriptive and predictive modelling
- Collaborate with department heads who request business analysis
- Contribute to the development and governance of our data and support the different business lines with data-driven decision-making
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field
- At least 3 years of experience in big data, data management and data processing
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
- Analytical abilities with a proactive and curious approach
- Great organizational and communication abilities
About the Team
- Within CIB, the Transaction Banking business concerns two fundamental business lines
- The Cash Management line, which concerns all products that assist our customers with their liquidity needs, such as current accounts, term deposits, payments and collections, forex, among others
- The Global Trade Solutions line, which concerns all products that assist our customers with their global trade needs, such as letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain management, factoring, among others
- The Global TB COO team assists different business teams in multiple topics, both on daily and monthly needs as in project mode, where a small team of data analysts and scientists focus on data and are involved in the conception of data use cases from exploration phase up to production delivery
