Position Purpose
The candidate will be responsible as a techno functional testing resource of team for creating and executing the functional as well as regression testing suite. The candidate must have good hands-on experience on test development using – Selenium WebDriver using Java/Python. The candidate must have good analytical skills and should be self-motivated, proactive and a good team player. The candidate should have experience in working effectively in fast paced environments. Candidate will also be expected to coordinate with onshore/offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Active support in fulfilling automation strategic goals by providing technical support and help in terms of automation
- Responsible for the overall automation strategy and the effective tools and technologies selection for a specific project
- Help and design/maintain test automation framework based on specific needs
- Define required test environment and test data needs
- Monitor, enhance, improve automation activities as per demand of project
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for their testing organization
- Writes and reviews automated tests
- Review and ensure all the deliverables are complete and concise before delivering it to customer
- Share automation best practices around framework and script development and maintenance
- Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team and propose solutions
- Collaborate with team in mentoring and training team members for automation
- Conducts analyses to determine the best tools given the goals of test automation in a specific project if required
- Writes and reviews automated tests
- Closely work with Dev teams/BA to resolve issues and also to develop a good understanding of the project and testing objectives.
- Perform other testing-related duties as required

- Contribute towards knowledge sharing initiatives and upskilling of other team members
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Around 8-11 years of relevant Techno Functional work experience
- Strong technical knowledge of SELENIUM WEBDRIVER and PYTHON/JAVA to develop, maintain & execute regression test scripts
- Knowledge of ROBOT Framework & UFT is desirable
- Closely work with Dev teams/BA to resolve issues and also to develop a good understanding of the project and testing objectives.
- Candidate with good knowledge in BFSI domain is desirable
- Must have good analytical skills.
- Experience in writing SQL queries for backend validation
- Strong knowledge of the complete QA cycle and experience with different types of testing, including experience with rigorous test case creation, maintenance and execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams
- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
- Hands on experience on JIRA and Quality Centre / ALM
- Perform other testing-related duties as required
