PSL University and BNP Paribas launch the School of Positive Impact, a excellence programme based on the 17 SDGs

  • 19.12.2018

PSL University (Paris Sciences & Lettres) and BNP Paribas have undertaken to educate a new generation of decision-makers by creating the School of Positive Impact. For the first time in France, the school will offer a Bachelor-level programme on positive impact.

This PSL University course, created with the financial support of BNP Paribas, revolves around the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which form part of the corporate plan of BNP Paribas. The programme will start in September 2019, with 30 high-school graduates in first year. It will allow students to make positive impact the cornerstone of their intellectual development as citizens. The new Bachelor programme will be aimed at students from a variety of backgrounds and fields. It will have a multidisciplinary basis combining natural sciences, engineering sciences, social sciences and humanities.

For BNP Paribas, supporting the emancipation and projects of the next generation is a focal point of its commitment as a company. In this light, BNP Paribas is convinced that new forms of teaching are needed for a more sustainable society; that is the reason for its commitment alongside PSL to create this School of Positive Impact that will train tomorrow’s decision-makers for the great challenges of our time.

Director and CEO of BNP Paribas Paris

“The social and environmental challenges that society is facing implies a collective change in paradigms and business models. A responsible and sustainable future for our economy is only possible if the new generation, which is at the centre of our corporate commitment, undertakes to consolidate these transformations and make them central to everything they do. As a key player for a greener, more inclusive economy, we have joined PSL University in our conviction that we must enable tomorrow’s decision-makers to find the right answers.”
