BNP Paribas continues to expand its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives around the world by participating in initiatives focusing on supporting disadvantaged children. In Bulgaria, BNP Paribas joined the "Victor Hugo" French school in Sofia to support children from the Dupnitza orphanage.
Twenty seven orphans from Dupnitza participated in the traditional sports Olympics of the French school. Each team, constructed of both pupils from the French school and the orphans, competed in different sports disciplines - track-and-field athletics, football, frisbee, etc. A picnic uniting all students followed after the sports activities. The initiative was under the patronage of Madame Caroline de Poncins, the wife of the French ambassador to Bulgaria
