What is the role?

BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking, Prague office, offers a full-time position on a fixed term contract for 2 years (maternity cover) in Client Service Desk Department of BNPP CZ Branch focusing on Trade Finance and Loan Admin areas of responsibilities.

What are the main responsibilities?

  • Prepare documentation for Trade Finance products (focus mainly on L/G, partially on L/C and D/C) based on non/standard templates and liaises with the relevant internal parties for customization and validation 
  • Establish and maintain close contact with the Clients to ensure that trade documents have been properly received, communicate discrepancies and provide guidance and advice on the documentation/transaction
  • Cooperate with Trade Finance Shared Centre and Trade Finance Expertise Desk
  • Manage the portfolio of loan/Trade Finance Corporate Clients
  • Prepare loan and security documentation based on customized templates and liaises with appropriate internal parties for validation (RMs, Legal dept., Credit analysts, Credit Risk Controls dept.)
  • Send loan related documentation to Clients and follows-up reception of documentation signed by the Client (liaise with RM if needed); control that files are complete and legally and validly binding for the Client
  • Make sure that conditions precedent to disbursement are met and in line with the credit approval
  • Liaise with agent bank or with internal agency team if BNP Paribas is acting as agent on syndicated deals
  • Give instructions to central team for drawdowns, based on cooperation with treasury department, check repayment in database
  • Cooperate with Credit Transaction Monitoring dept., deal with reconciliations requested by Finance dept.
  • Ensure all administrative works related to loan/Trade Finance products
  • Cooperate within the Client Service Desk on other Client management related requests

What qualities are we looking for?

  • University degree in economics or finance 
  • Experience from banking / high motivation for junior position
  • Good knowledge of the bank and its activities and products 
  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles of operations and their processing system
  • Fluent English – both spoken and written, good Czech 
  • IT literacy 
  • Responsiveness, initiative
