The position at a glance:
The Financial Security Transversal Analyst will serve in a cross-functional role, acting as a bridge within the U.S. Financial Security Department, where there are seven main areas: KYC Compliance, FIU, QA, Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring and Optimization, Transaction Monitoring, and Project Management. The main responsibilities of this role will be to facilitate knowledge sharing, identify synergies, and foster collaboration across the multiple teams within Financial Security. This role will focus on assessing how the various teams can leverage their expertise, identify opportunities for alignment, and provide strategic feedback on improving processes and workflows across functions.
In detail:
- Act as a liaison between different teams, understanding the department's goals, challenges, and strengths to promote collaboration and mutual knowledge sharing.
- Analyze existing workflows, communication practices, and knowledge pools to uncover opportunities for synergies and efficiencies across teams.
- Provide actionable feedback to department leaders on how teams can better align and leverage each other's expertise, tools, and resources to optimize performance.
- Evaluate current processes and workflows, proposing enhancements to ensure smoother cross-functional interaction and better utilization of team knowledge.
- Develop and support initiatives that encourage regular knowledge exchange, ensuring that lessons learned, and best practices are shared across the organization.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report on progress in fostering synergies and improving cross-functional collaboration, including identifying key metrics and outcomes for continuous improvement.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed:
- Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree ongoing.
- Proven experience in cross-functional project coordination or a similar transversal role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and create actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to influence, to negotiate, to conceptualize issues and translate ideas into solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, eager to create connections and promote shared learning across teams.
- Autonomous and critical thinker. Developed attention to details and rigorous approach to research, analysis, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English language is required.
