Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you
- Supporting and – if needed – representation of the Territory Data Protection Officer (T-DPO) regarding the responsibilities for all Business Lines in Germany, e.g. in fulfilling the roles and responsibilities defined in our Data Protection (DP) procedures
- Carrying out tasks of a local Data Protection Correspondent (DPC) for four Business Lines of the BNP Paribas Group based in Frankfurt
- Assessment of data breaches and incidents
- Supporting the T-DPO by preparing the communication with German Data Protection Authorities & other external stakeholders
- Advising the business stakeholders and engage with LEGAL on projects (privacy-by-design and –by-default, privacy impact assessments) and the strengthening of all kinds of DP related processing activities
- In close collaboration with T-DPO oversight, coordination and further development of a team of DPCs within the German Territory
- Conducting regular awareness sessions across the business line to embed the DP principles and requirements
- Representation of DP matters in internal Committees
Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer
- Several years of significant knowledge and experience in German Data Protection Law and ideally within the banking sector, also reflected in certifications (e.g. CIPP/E or similar)
- Fully qualified lawyer preferred “Volljurist”)
- Experience in interacting with regulators
- Experience in transversal management and working
- Sound knowledge and interest in Information Technology and new digital technologies
- Characteristics such as team ability, communication strength and flexibility
- Fluent German and English language skills in word and writing (C1 Level required)
