About the job
- In this position, the senior Compliance Officer will have the mission to provide advisory to Business in 2 areas:
- Financial Security - KYC, the senior Compliance Officer will have to give an opinion and take decision regarding GM KYC files
- Regarding DMA (in all BL) and GM activities and businesses, the senior Compliance Officer will have to implement non-FS procedure, take decision, advise and train the Businesses
- Purpose being to comply with all applicable laws & regulations, especially local ones, as well as Group/ Business Line policies & procedures on Financial Security, Know Your Customer, Market integrity, Professional Ethics and Protection of Interests of Clients
- DMA = Designated Market Activities - MI = Market Integrity and GM = Global Markets (GM)
Your Main Activities Are
- Implement all the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC) in DMA activities and GM based on Group/Business Lines Compliance policies & procedures
- Analyse the impact of norms and regulations evolution on the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC) for DMA and GM activities and identify any required development, monitoring and control setup through procedures, tools, controls and training
- Support GM development through guidelines and best practice sharing related to the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC)
- Contribute to Compliance Permanent Control through the execution of 2LoD controls / KPRIs / RCSA / Risk assessments / internal controls / follow up of historical incidents and action plans related to non-FS Compliance Domains
- Contribute to audit missions promptly and clearly on the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC) of GM
- Define / follow up any action plans resulting from the execution of 2LoD GCP controls, risk assessment, audit missions, historical incidents on the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC) of GM
- Identify and escalate any risks on the Compliance domains (FS, KYC, MI, PE, PIC) of GM according to the applicable procedures
- Contribute to Compliance Reporting (both Regulatory Reporting to local authorities and Internal Reporting to Group/Business Lines Reporting) in liason with Regulatory Assurance and Compliance Business Line (GM)
- Contribute to promote Compliance awareness through adequate training and communication; forster a culture of integrity through the respect of Compliance rules and professional standards
- Within the FS-KYC domain, act as the Senior Compliance officer in charge to provide CPL opinion and decision making for GM KYC files
- Within the FS-KYC domain, Contribute to smooth the process between Primary sites and Portugal as Secondary site, and build methodology on this matter
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor Degree Economics / Finance / Accounting / Law or related
- At least 3 years of experience in Compliance / Banking and Financial Operations / Risk and Controls or similar
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Ability to develop others & improve their skills
