Not to be missed: book on the art of the Fontainebleau château
28.12.2010 | Corporate philanthropy
The BNP Paribas Foundation is sponsoring the publication of an album devoted to the art collections in the Château de Fontainebleau. The work invites us to discover the history of the château and admire its artistic treasures, which are often little known. It contains numerous illustrations and texts by Xavier Salmon, director of the Château de Fontainebleau site and collections, and Christophe Beyeler, Yves Carlier, Vincent Cochet and Vincent Droguet, curators at the château.
Among its main missions, the BNP Paribas Foundation is committed to preserving the wealth of museums and ensuring that it gains greater recognition. For this reason it supports the restoration of major works of art and the publication of books in the collection Musées et Monuments de France, the launch of which it promoted over twenty years ago.
