BNP Paribas is one of the three banks represented among the 27 French Groups to be included inby the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Climate Leadership Index. This positive evaluation is a clear sign of the Group's endeavour in the environmental area, and particularly in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions.
The British organization Carbon Disclosure Project was created in 2000. Since 2003, the CDP has been developing a survey which is sent to the 500 biggest companies in the world, to enquireing about on their practices concerning greenhouse gas emissions. BNP Paribas has been participateding into the CDP initiative since its launching.
According to their answers Tthe different Groups are evaluated and classified by the CDP according to the answers provided. The Climate Leadership Index lists the best in class companies comprisedamong thein the top superior third of the list. (tiers supérieur des évaluations).
Banking sector at the 4th ranks 4th (overout of 18)
