Feel the blues at Jazz Festival in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris
From May 15 to 25 will be held the 14th edition the “Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés” in Paris, one of the major jazz festivals of the French capital.
The Parisian festival will offer, as every year, exceptional concerts of world renowned musicians such as Erik Truffaz, Eliane Elias and Daniel Humair, but also young talents. The event will take place in unique and original locations: the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church, Paris-Sorbonne and Paris Descartes Universities, the Sénat, the Couvent des Cordeliers, the Odéon Theater, and many other.
Coming to the festival is also a great opportunity to discover jazz as a multi-artistic culture with exhibitions, conferences and masterclasses.
Created in 2001 by L’esprit Jazz association, this festival propose a unique and exceptional programme of concerts, première performances, encounters between artists, new talents and exhibitions – all specially concocted to give festival goers a taste of jazz in all its diversity.
For 19 years now, the BNP Paribas Foundation has been assisting jazz musicians with the development of their careers and projects by providing support for recordings and for the promotion and broadcast of their concerts. In addition, the BNP Paribas Foundation endeavours to increase their notoriety and expand their audiences by developing exchanges with the Bank's networks in France and abroad.
