Encouraging women's entrepreneurship through microfinance

BNP Paribas has been committed to financial inclusion for more than 30 years. By supporting Microfinance Institutions around the world, the Group is enabling disadvantaged populations that are excluded from the traditional banking system to benefit from financial products and services. Thanks to microfinance, micro-borrowers have the opportunity to carry out their projects. This is the case for Kani, who, thanks to the support of the French microfinance organisation Adie, was able to launch her organic cosmetics business project.

Microfinance: Testimony from an entrepreneur

Meeting with Kani, an Adie client and creator of the eco-responsible brand Kanité, which offers organic cosmetic products made in France.

How did the Adie support Kani in her business startup project? What aid has she been able to benefit from? What challenges has she been able to meet thanks to her microloan, and what are her plans for the coming years? These are the questions that Kani sheds light on in her interview at the Convergences World Forum, in September 2019.
In 30 years, 1.8 million women have benefited from microloan thanks to the support of BNP Paribas to Microfinance Institutions*.
