Between 2017 and 2019, the BNP Paribas Foundation will support 8 new international research projects on climate change as part of its Climate Initiative program. The objective? Improving our knowledge on climate change and its impacts on our environment.
Selected by a scientific committee composed of recognized experts, the projects supported under the Climate Initiative program address major issues related to the impact of climate change: the collection of new data on past climates in Antarctica and tropical areas, the expansion of the dry subtropics in South America, an assessment of the impact of climate change on the coral reefs and the carbon sequestration potential of agricultural soils in Africa...

Since 2010, the Climate Initiative program has already enabled 10 teams of international scientists to study the climate and to raise awareness among more than 200,000 people about climate change issues.
