BNP Paribas is supporting the 2019 edition of European Microfinance Week, to be held 20-22 November in Luxembourg. Organised by e-MFP (European Microfinance Platform), this flagship meeting of financial inclusion players in Europe will welcome more than 500 professionals in the sector: NGOs, businesses, researchers, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and others.
On the agenda for this edition, more than 25 sessions devoted to today's microfinance challenges, including strengthening resilience to climate change through financial inclusion and protecting the poorest populations.
For 30 years, BNP Paribas has been supporting microfinance all around the world to help the most vulnerable people create their businesses and thereby improve their standard of living. In Europe, BNP Paribas began by partnering key Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) such as Adie in France and Permicro in Italy, before deepening its involvement by co-creating the MFIs MicroStart in Belgium and Microlux in Luxembourg.
