From 4th to 9th June, in Senegal, Saint-Louis hosts the 22nd edition of its International Jazz Festival.
Saint-Louis Jazz Festival is one of the main cultural events in Africa. Both Banque Internationale pour le Commerce et l’Industrie du Sénégal (BICIS) and BNP Paribas Foundation support it.
During five days, Saint-Louis Jazz Festival welcomes great artists, such as Lucky Peterson, l'Orchestra Aragon, Wasis Diop, Didier Labbé & Jax Ravel, Yaron Hernan, Cyrus Chetnut, Onder Focan, Hervé Samb and Moncef Genoud.
This year, a special homage will be given to Aminata Fall, a Senegalese jazzwoman from Saint-Louis, who died in November 2012.
