The bank for a changing world

The Maison de la Danse, a dance cultural center based in Lyon (France), is expecting a thousand guests on February 1st to celebrate 20 years of partnership with BNP Paribas. The Maison de la Danse is the only institution of its kind in Europe. The gala event will feature a performance of Carmen from the Antonio Gades' company, and will be attended by Michel Pébereau.

Over the years, this partnership overseen by the Foundation has become a pillar of the bank's patronage policy. The bank's support has highly contributed to the growing reputation of the Maison de la Danse while expanding its audience. For instance, nearly 10,000 spectators –including clients, employees and shareholders of BNP Paribas– have enjoyed the institution's fantastic international programs.

The BNP Paribas Foundation has also supported the Jorge Donn studio as well as various dance companies in residence, alongside Guy Darmet, the Maison de la Danse's artistic director, and his team.

This unique partnership is a reference in the world of corporate patronage. In 2001, it was awarded the "Admical" prize of corporate patronage by the French weekly magazine Télérama.
