BNP Paribas: event partnerThe Group, which in recent years has worked to fight all discrimination and create an inclusive working environment, naturally wanted to be one of the sponsors for Paris 2018.
Our employees are also committed to the values (unavailable link) of open-mindedness and diversity: 220 of them from 15 different countries have registered, and will represent Team BNP Paribas.
Events for everyoneAs well as sports competitions, there are also 14 cultural activities (unavailable link) planned: cruising along the Seine, hiking, art exhibitions, a film festival… not forgetting the grand ball at the City Hall!
Before the launch of the games on 4 August, a cycle of 11 international academic conferences will take place from 1 to 3 August at the City Hall (Hôtel de Ville) in Paris. They will focus on 3 themes:
- Sport, a tool to combat discrimintion
- Sport as a source of well-being and health
- Sport, lever of accessibility and equality
And to wind down after all that effortThroughout the week, there will be parties and celebrations in Paris and in the Gay Games village on the esplanade in front of the City Hall, with events every day until 10 PM.
The festivities kick off on Saturday 4 August, with the opening ceremony at the Jean Bouin stadium!
