For the 7th consecutive year, BNP Paribas has conferred its innovation awards. Presented at the end of a major Group-wide competition, these awards honour the employees who have developed the most innovative solutions and created the most value for the Group’s customers.
More than 1,000 submissions were collected throughout the Group. 44 were pre-selected by the Management Committees of the various business lines, then reviewed by a committee of experts. Finally, 10 of these received awards.
The winners included Hello bank!, the first mobile, digital and European bank; Habit@t, a new generation of home insurance developed by BNP Paribas Cardif Italy; the “Social Entrepreneurship” group of projects launched by the retail banking networks in France, Italy and Belgium, which offer tailored support and assistance to social entrepreneurs; “Igotowka”, a 100% digital online personal loan app developed by BNP Paribas Personal Finance Poland; and “iPad Innovation” from TEB Cetelem in Turkey, a solution that makes it possible to offer personalised, simplified loans as part of the purchase of a vehicle.
The awards ceremony was held on 7 October, at the Place de l’Opéra branch in Paris. This contest is fully in line with BNP Paribas’ positioning as “The bank for a changing world”, which has a deep commitment to innovation.
