Position Purpose
Packagers with working knowledge on packaging, Compliance Test, User Acceptance Tests.
Packager will be responsible for end-to-end packaging and maintaining infrastructure used for packaging.
Knowledge of scripting using PowerShell.
Document troubleshooting procedures.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
· Hands on experience in Windows, Admin Studio, SCCM, scripting & vSphere [Virtual Infrastructure].
· Good Knowledge of application virtualization technologies including APP-V.
· Proficiency in MSIX packaging and troubleshooting.
· Experience with Microsoft Intune and its application deployment features.
· Hands on Experience in Managing End to end packaging activity from technical review until UAT.
· Hands on Experience in troubleshooting packaging failure and SCCM Deployment failure incidents.
· Update: Package request for an application that is already packaged (version upgrade, etc.)
· New Application: Package request for an application that has never been Packaged including both simple and complex packages.
· Rework: Package modification request following UAT
· Extensive experience in PowerShell Scripting.
· Work on recurrent packages – TNS related packages.
· Responsible for clean-up actions on SCCM and Virtual Infrastructure
· Perform quality analysis for packaged applications to verify their functionality and compatibility.
· Expertise in prioritizing workloads and delivering applications within specified SLAs.
· Experience in interacting with Application Owners (End-Users/SME) and Application Testers to troubleshoot and debug application configuration and deployment issues.
· Expertise in Windows Installer technology including Repackaging, Application customization, SCCM Software Distribution and Deployment.
Contributing Responsibilities
· Creating Kedb articles and sop documents
· Contribution towards automation to streamline repetitive tasks improving efficiency and saving time.
· Provide expert technical support to end users addressing issues and challenges related to packaged applications.
· Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather insights regarding the application.
· Perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of incidents by collaborating with required team and user.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical Tools: SCCM, Admin Studio, Repackager, Picture taker, Install rite.
Scripting: PowerShell
Operating System: Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 & Windows 10 & 11.
· Hands on knowledge of creating all kinds of packages.
· Maintain version control of application packages.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex packaging issues.
· Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities in packaged applications, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
· Establish and maintain a test VM environment to simulate real time deployment scenarios.
· Perform server patching for Windows 2012, 2016, and 2019
· Ready to work in shift [no night shift], on call and holiday support.
