The Head of Banking Services Operations & IT ensures the delivery of high-quality services to clients, while managing resources, the operations’ teams and processes to support business growth. This role focuses on integrating increasing volumes, developing the operational team, optimizing profitability and driving innovation and efficiency across banking operations and IT systems.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and Manage of Banking Services team, consisting of Clearing Settlement & Cash/Cross Operations and Custody Operations (Local & Global), monitor the effective operation of the team
* Guarantee the escalation of problems to local and central senior management
* Ensure operational excellence by maintaining a client focus and delivering high-quality services
* Oversee human resource management, including the hiring process, coaching and career development of the operational team
* Drive operational profitability by aligning team performance with budgeted volumes, costs and control requirements
* Provide technical expertise in the development of new products, projects and services
* Collaborate with senior management and local teams to align Operations & IT strategies with business objectives
* Manage cross location projects impacting operations and IT, ensuring seamless integration of new clients and products
* Monitor and optimize revenues, expenses and contributions in line with business targets
* Build and maintain relationships with market authorities and contribute to market growth operation
* Sponsor re-engineering initiatives and innovations to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
* Contribute to the development of 2S systems
* Contribute to the development of the new product and services
What qualities do we look for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting & Finance or Banking
- Postgraduate studies in Business Administration will be considered an asset
- 5-10 years proven experience in Banking Sector
- Proven leadership experience in banking operations, IT and team management
- Strong understanding of operational processes and service delivery
- Strong understanding of the Greek & Cypriot securities market
- Strong ability to manage budgets, optimize processes and drive profitability
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience in cross-location project leadership
- Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
- Proficient in the English language
- High-level MS Office (Excel) knowledge
