Business Overview of Global Markets – Structuring 

The candidate will join the European cross-asset structuring team in Milan. The team is based across different platforms (Milan, Paris, London, Lisbon) and is responsible for pricing and structuring complex derivatives involving several asset classes for the BNPP CIB European client base. In particular, while equity product structuring will be the core activity, specific focus will be dedicated to commodity products since the commodity structuring specialist is based in Milan. Lastly, the candidate will gain exposure to the Italian structured products market and its country specific rules/regulations, by working in proximity with the Italian sales.

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will be asked to:

  • Support the Seniors Structurers in their role over the different platforms
  • Support the marketing efforts through product design: pricing, back-testing
  • Create innovative products suited to market conditions and client needs
  • Interact closely with Sales to understand client needs and Trading to determine the pricing parameter for each product
  • familiarise with the bank's models, and master the pricing tools
  • understand as many structured products as possible, more or less standardized
  • respect the processes put in place to limit operational risk
  • respond in good time to requests for prices sent by Sales
  • improving the IT tools of the team's daily life
  • act on a day-to-day basis with strong professional conduct and ethical standards.

What we expect from you

  • Education: at least enrolment to a master degree in Finance or Engineering with particular focus in quantitative subject such as Financial Mathematics;
  • Behavioral & soft skills: teamwork approach; attention to detail; problem solving attitude; adaptability and analytical ability; good communication skills and quantitative mindset;
  • Technical skills: fluent English (written and spoken); proficient in MS Office.
      

Contract type and Remuneration

The offer will be a 6-month internship and it’s dedicated to all students or recent graduates (twelve or less months after graduation).

The Company provides a monthly monetary contribution.
