The bank has opted for the Peugeot iOn electric car for its business travel needs. This initiative is part of BNL and BNP Paribas Group's commitment towards the environment.
BNL BNP Paribas Group has chosen to invest in “sustainable mobility” and has acquired a fleet of electric cars. The first ten Peugeot iOn cars, on lease from BNP PARIBAS Group company Arval - a leader in the leasing and fleet management sector - are being used for staff travel needs at the bank's headquarters in Rome, Milan and Florence. This “low environmental impact” solution also involves the installation of a series of power points , that allow for faster recharging with reduced energy consumption and longer battery life.
BNL, together with the TBWA Italia agency, have commissioned established young French artist, Leslie Clerc to customise the cars, with emphasis firmly placed on environmental protection. This artistic aspect, given a certain refinement and sophistication through the use of Indian ink, transmits the brand values and the bank's commitment to green policies.
Fabio Gallia, CEO of BNL, announced “This initiative confirms our wish to foster and propagate, with concrete actions, a culture of awareness and respect for the environment. From small individual gestures to transport policies for vehicle use, from the adoption of low impact, eco-compatible materials for company properties , to the recovery and recycling of consumables, everything contributes to reducing the impact of our business on the environment”.
