UBCI, a Tunisian private bank that is 50%-owned by BNP Paribas, will launch a comprehensive homeowner's policy late in 2002. The policy offers subscribers theft and property coverage for their homes.
Early in December, UBCI will also launch Assuretraite Complémentaire, a retirement savings plan that enables subscribers to redeem their policies for their choice of cash or a lifetime annuity following the completion of an initial savings period.
UBCI plans to market a thousand of each of these two products in their first year.
