BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management Luxembourg has published the "Why Luxembourg?" guide, to coincide with the Exporeal trade fair to be held in Munich (Germany) from 8 to 10 October.
The aim of this twenty six-page guide drawn up in English is to present information on Luxembourg's investment vehicles.
The booklet is structured around three main topics: an overview of Luxembourg real estate investment funds, the legal and regulatory framework of Luxembourg, and the tax specificities of regulated and unregulated structures.
This guide also lays out the European AIFMD (Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive). As the Luxembourg authorities have already submitted their bill to Parliament at the end of August, Luxembourg will be one of the pioneer countries in the adaptation of this directive.
The ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) developed the section dedicated to real estate investment funds, while PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting firm has written the part of the guide on the tax aspects and the Clifford Chance legal firm has explained the legal and regulatory aspects.
The "Why Luxembourg? Specificities of Luxembourg real estate investment vehicles" guide is also available at the BNP Paribas Real Estate stand at Exporeal from October 8 to 10 (Hall C2 – section 220).
