This year, We Are tennis comes back with a new website and an exclusive programme, dedicated to the tennis fans. Sébastien Guyader, Head of Brand & Sponsoring BNP Paribas, reviews thos highlights, among others.
Could you tell us more about the ties between BNP Paribas and tennis, and about We Are Tennis?
BNP Paribas is the biggest tennis sponsor in the world, with a unique, long-standing commitment that started in 1973 and reaches all levels of tennis playing throughout the world: singles, wheelchair tennis, team and family sport, from beginner level up to the greatest professional tournaments.
Since 2011, the wearetennis.bnpparibas platform and its social networks have brought together a community of tennis fans and enthusiasts from all continents, with news updates from the ATP, WTA and ITF circuits. Since 2015, BNP Paribas has given fans the chance to live their love of tennis like never before with the We Are Tennis Fan Academy. BNP Paribas also supports local tennis through crowdfunding initiatives.
What is new this year?
We Are Tennis has a brand new programme called AVANTAGE. Its aim is to reward the most loyal and committed tennis fans by giving them access all year round to exclusive advantages: seats at BNP Paribas-sponsored tournaments, VIP access, opportunities to meet the best players, discounts at partner stores, and exclusive gifts.
How does the AVANTAGE programme work?
To join the programme, you must create a profile on wearetennis.bnpparibas. You then simply use the site to earn points, by reading articles, sharing content on social networks, or sponsoring your friends. Users can enjoy exclusive benefits with the points they earn.
For BNP Paribas customers, all these benefits are accessible without any limit to the number of points, and certain benefits are dedicated to them exclusively.
And after Roland-Garros?
With each tournament sponsored by BNP Paribas, tennis fans can enjoy a unique experience by winning exclusive advantages on wearetennis.bnpparibas. There are also exclusive advantages to be won all year round: discounts at partner stores, gifts,... Fans will be able to win exclusive access to the Queen's Championships in June in London and the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas semi-final in September in Lille.
