For this first round, France, led by Yannick Noah, faces Canada in Guadeloupe, United States plays against Australia and its charismatic veteran, Leyton Hewitt, Italy against Switzerland, without Federer, Germany against Czech Republic, and Belgium against Croatia.
The qualified teams during this 1st Round will play between 15 th and 17 th July, for the quarterfinals.
