From 7 to 9 September, the 7th annual G20 YEA (Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance) was held in Istanbul, bringing together 400 entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 45 from the G20 member countries. The French delegation was made up of 35 CEOs, focusing on the theme of entrepreneurial culture, who manage companies ranging from fast-growing SMEs, businesses with more than 1,000 employees, and startups. As members of the Citizen Entrepreneurs network, supported by BNP Paribas, they took part in the three-day summit, which gave them an opportunity to review the achievements of previous summits, the creativity of entrepreneurs, working methods in Silicon Valley, international collaboration, and the attractiveness of Turkey, with speakers such as Muhtar Kent, Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola, and Ümit Leblebici, CEO of TEB.
Ronan Pelloux, the sherpa for the French delegation, kept a journal during the G20, which provides a behind-the-scenes look at the summit. This event resulted in the formulation of proposals that will be submitted to the governments of the G20, and in the signing of a commitment charter with recommendations for boosting growth and jobs throughout the world.
