Steven Spielberg is back with a science-fiction film called Ready Player One. Based on the novel Player One by Ernest Cline, the story takes place in the future, at a time when mankind swears only by virtual reality. Ready Player One, a futuristic adventure blockbuster by Steven Spielberg, is due for release on 28 March. For the occasion, BNP Paribas and Warner Bros will be opening the Ready Player One Arcade Bar, a pop-up venue that brings the world of the film to life.
A vibrant place where visitors can get immersed in the world of Spielberg’s much-awaited film.
Warner Bros and BNP Paribas, which is sponsoring the launch of Ready Player One, joined forces to offer the French public a preview of the film and an experience that will be the first of its kind. How? By opening the Ready Player One Arcade Bar, a single venue where people can discover the world of the film and have fun on their own or as a family.
The pop-up bar, a tribute to pop culture and virtual reality, will be open to all from 21 to 27 March 2018 at Grand Bréguet, 17 rue Bréguet (Paris 11). With different areas and ambiances that evoke the book and the film, the Ready Player One Arcade Bar will give visitors the chance to experience virtual reality, have a go at some cult arcade games, and get a sneak preview of some of the film’s décor. All of it in a retro-futuristic ambiance to celebrate the peculiar atmosphere of the film.
For an unforgettable experience
Come to Grand Bréguet, at 17 rue Breguet in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, from 22 to 27 March, from 11 am till 2 am. Free entry.

BNP Paribas and cinema: a story that goes back 100 years
In 2017, BNP Paribas celebrated a century of involvement in cinema, with our first major film-financing operation dating back to 1917. The financial support has continued since then, in France and Italy, where our subsidiary BNL is proud to have financed almost all the masterpieces of Italian cinema, and recently in Belgium and the United States too.
BNP Paribas also supports a multitude of film festivals in Europe, sponsors cinemas and films right from the shooting stage, and undertakes actions to promote film heritage and creativity in its most innovative forms, like virtual reality.
