The bank for a changing world

BNP Paribas voted best international bank in the Gulf in 2001

  • 10.04.2002
The jury, chosen by Euromoney, ranked BNP Paribas ahead of Citibank and HSBC, its main competitors in the region.

Bahrain's finance minister awarded the prize to Jacques Desponts (Head of BFI International Trade) and Jean-Christophe Durand (Head of Territory) at the annual Gulf Investment Forum, in Bahrain, on 9 and 10 April.

This prize rewards the efforts of the core businesses active in the Persian Gulf region, with special recognition of the role BNP Paribas plays in the Arabic currencies and in project and export finance, as well as its corporate banking presence through BDDI.
