An international tournament “Reduta Cup by BNP Paribas” 12&Under sets off a series of national, international and social tennis events highlighting the partnership with Bulgarian Tennis Federation.
BNP Paribas, the world's leading tennis sponsor, continues to consolidate its strategic alliance with the Tennis Federation in Bulgaria. For a forth consecutive year, BNP Paribas is a main sponsor of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation and forms part of the Group's overall sponsorship strategy. In 2011, the “tennis bank” has pledged to support tennis in Bulgaria in a number of ways: professionally, socially and through education.
A series of national, international and social tennis events, highlighting the partnership with Bulgarian Tennis Federation, starts with the international tournament “Reduta Cup by BNP Paribas” 12&Under. Players from 25 countries participate in the international juniors' event. The competition is included in the official calendars of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation and Tennis Europe and is valid for the European rankings. The best players 12&Under will be determined on September 4th on the courts in Sofia.
This competition is one of the three tournaments for which BNP Paribas serves as a title sponsor this year. The other two are:
- an international women's tournament in Plovdiv included in the official calendar of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation and the International Tennis Federation and named “Pulpia Cup by BNP Paribas”, valid for the world women's rankings and scheduled for 24 September – 2 October 2011, which will take place in Plovdiv.
- the most prestigious “National Championships for Men and Women by BNP Paribas”, included in the official calendar of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, valid for the national rankings and scheduled for 9 October - 16 October 2011, which will take place in Sofia.
Through its long-term support of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, BNP Paribas is actively involved in the promotion of tennis and in encouraging people from all backgrounds to take part in the sport.
The focus is on the continuous support of disadvantaged children through the program “Tennis for Everybody”, which offers underprivileged and disabled children tennis trainings. By assisting charitable organisations and social projects related to tennis, the Group strengthens its commitment to social awareness which forms an integral part of its banking activities.
