From 1 February 2014, all credit transfers and standard orders denominated in euro will be made using the SEPA standards in countries that have adopted the euro. For both corporates and banks, this requirement involves technical and organisational adaptations. To assist large companies in this migration, BNP Paribas has launched a dedicated website: www.sepa.bnpparibas.com. The platform provides a way for the Group to confirm its position as partner and expert in this field.
“With BNP Paribas' unmatched geographic coverage and its SEPA deployed teams of experts both locally and globally, the Group has real assets to support its customers and allow them to be ready in time,” says Luca Poletto, Head of the SEPA team at BNP Paribas Fortis. “Corporates are aware they must be ready by 1 February, 2014, but they don't know when to start, which country to migrate first and how proceed safely. We thought sharing our expertise through an online reference website was a strong statement. In other words, we want them to know that they can rely on BNP Paribas' experts to support their SEPA migration… and beyond.”
